BR221383
Inspired by the legendary Kodak Double X 5222 film stock, first introduced in 1959 and a quintessential synonym for black and white films, BR221383 is a proprietary digital process developed as part of Dado Valentic's Color Training Master Program to emulate the combination of negative film and print stock.
B&W is more than a desaturated image. A combination of physical and chemical factors during the shooting and developing stages affects how shades, lights, skins, and materials are captured and rendered in black-and-white film. Based on beloved old movies, I crafted an array of digital explorations, starting from a neutral approach, to expand into potential color and temperature variations in B&W due to different mixes of negative and positive film stocks.
Optimized for AWG / LogC3 / SDR Managed Workflow.
